Built to help people make the most of every day.
CheckMate started as a simple goal management site — and it quietly changed the way I live. Now it’s becoming something I want to share.
For the past few years, I’ve been building a website that has quite literally changed my life. Though simple in concept, my goal management site has inspired me to make the most of every day.
After losing the habit of reading during university, it motivated me to start again — and for the past five years, I’ve been reading a book a month. Those vinyl LPs that gathered dust are finally being played. I’ve experimented with new sports, learned to bake, explored more independent restaurants, and spent more time in nature.
The website has also helped me cut down on social media, and I’m constantly thinking of new features to support this.
In April, I’m expecting a son, and I’ve been filled with excitement creating lists of the things I want to do with him: the movies to watch, the books to read, the adventures to share.
Now, I want to take the website further — and I’m looking for advice and guidance. My goal is to develop it as a non-profit, building something that genuinely helps people.
